The Monrovia Vocation Training Center (MVTC)

The Monrovia Vocation Training Center is to train young people in Liberia to enable them to work in a modern society. The MVTC is a Government Institutions that empower youth of Liberia. MVTC aims to attract young people between the ages 16–19 years to provide trade skills training while they complete a secondary school certificate.

Booker T. Washington Institute (BWI)

The Booker Washington Institute is the country's first agricultural and vocational school. BWI was founded with assistance from Americans and is named after American educator Booker T. Washington.  It is Located east of the country's capital of Monrovia; the school sits on a large rural campus and has about 1,800 students. BWI has a computer lab used by both the school and other students, and offers courses in welding, carpentry, and agriculture.

Youth Organisation

Youth Bridge Liberia

Youth Bridge Inc. is a registered and accredited non-profit advocacy organization operating in Liberia. The organization focuses its programs on Climate change, Democratic Governance and Economic Justice. Youth Bridge has implemented several projects with funding from international and national organizations. Youth Bridge Inc. is managed by an appointed Management Team with guidance from the Advisory Board. Its main function is to build young people capacity.

Youth Alive Liberia

Youth Alive Liberia is a Liberian NGO that started in January 2013 but acquired its accreditation in March 2016 as a fully registered non-governmental organization in the Republic of Liberia. Youth Alive Liberia implements integrated youth development programs, intervening in health, human rights and skills development and livelihood for Youth, Women and Children between the ages 8-35. Country programs run independently after initial support and capacity building from the mother NGO (Youth Alive Uganda).

YAL supports PLHIV to advocate for access to HIV treatment and care that aims to increase access to, coverage and utilization of sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR), comprehensive HIV/AIDS and primary health care services, Gender-Based Violence and Peacebuilding among young people. Targeting 80% districts in all geographical regions of Liberia, Youth Alive Liberia has worked with different grassroots organizations and has also partnered with other like-minded national NGOs.

Agents of Positive Change (AOPC)

Christian Community, Lower Johnsonville, Monrovia.  The Agents of Positive Change Youth Group is mainly concerned with empowering young people physically, mentally and spiritually. As change agents they are concerned mostly with capacity building exercises that will develop young people minds in preparing them for their unseen future. They greatly believe that young people are the most important resources that we have to change this unchangeable world. Our programs have been organized to give young children the space to show case their careers and passion for the future. Young people are the future leaders, and as future leaders they need to prepare themselves to make positive impact in their generation during their time.

YouthAid-Liberia (YAL)

Since 2012, YouthAid-Liberia was established and accredited in 2013 by the Government of Liberia as a national youth driven NGO. YAL works in Liberia to empower educate and elevate local young people through skills development, participation in civic responsibilities, peacebuilding initiatives and promote reproductive health education for peer youth. With funding and technical supports from local and global partners, YouthAid-Liberia has implemented projects in three counties (Montserrado, Bong and Lofa).

In 2014, YAL implemented Civic and Voter Education awareness on the midterm senatorial elections in rural districts in Bong County through funding supports of USAID, National Elections Commission and IFES Liberia.  Since 2015, YAL has continuously conducted social mobilization awareness for over 7,000 beneficiaries on the Community Action Against Polio Project implemented in densely communities in Liberia through funding and technical supports of GAVI Alliance, Liberia Immunization Platform and Ministry of Health.

Education Development Center (EDC)

The USAID Liberia Advancing Youth Project provides increased access to quality alternative basic education services, social and leadership development, and livelihoods for out-of-school youth aged 13 -35 who have no or marginal literacy and numeracy skills. Advancing Youth works closely with the Ministry of Education and community-based organizations to build their capacity to manage a system and programs that provide youth with the knowledge and skills they need to succeed.
